The HKCU-REC50 option provides internal recording capability to the HDCU-5000 Camera Control Units (CCUs), increasing the versatility and efficiency of the complete studio camera system for live production applications.
Adding the HKCU-REC50 option allows the CCU to record a live stream directly from the camera. No additional logger or wiring is required. Production is therefore simplified thanks to the optimization of space inside a OB van. During recording, it is possible to transfer files in real time from the CCU to a portable SSD hard drive or network storage system. Recorded files are accessible immediately after shooting, saving time by not waiting for files to be transferred.
Using the HKCU-REC50 option, the CCU can record 4K and HD signals simultaneously, making it the ideal system for live and simultaneous 4K HDR and HD SDR production (SR Live) with HDC cameras -5500/3500/3100 HDR compatible.
Recording start and stop as well as network file transfers can be controlled using the built-in network control software PWA-RCT1* for the HKCU-REC50 option and the PWS Live Production Server -4500.
